    THE LOFT BOUTIQUE BUILDING: The desired residential tower strives to become a new prototype for one of the key residential areas in Lima, Peru. In other words, this project should be think for a single person (single, divorced, widow or a newly wedding couple) who wish to live in the coolest zone of San Isidro. This is why ARQUITECTUM, ( wishes not just to adapt national parameters and regulations, but also to subscribe to sterling international quality, renewable energy and green design criteria in an effort to set a precedent in local standards, whilst helping to revitalize the inner market and setting a precedent in residential buildings.

  2. Metropolis Next Generation Design Competition 2011

    The Next Generation Design Competition is open to any designer or architect in practice for ten years or less, as well as design students. The $10,000 prize is intended to support designers whose entries reflect systems thinking, sustainability, accessibility, materials exploration, progressive technologies, historic relevance, provocative form, and beauty. Each designer should speak to any one of the 6 sub-disciplines supported by the magazine—architecture, urban planning, landscape design, interior design, product design, graphic design. Employees of Sponsors are not eligible. All entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules.

    Entry Fee & Deadline

    The entry fee is $75 for each submission. All entries must be submitted by January 31, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. PST Residents of the following states by law are not required to pay an entry fee: AZ, CT, MD, ND, and VT.

    Maximum Number of Submissions

    Up to three submissions will be accepted from an individual or team of collaborators. A separate application and entry fee is required for each project submitted.

    Original Work

    By submitting an entry, whether as a proposal or a working design, the entrant warrants that it is his/her original work and that they have permission to publish the material.

  3. 8th International Student Architecture Contest STAR’S HOUSE

    Dear students!

    We start our eight international student architecture contest “Star’s House – 2010”. As usual we chose six famous persons and we offer you to create a house for one of them. We are waiting for interesting ideas and original projects from you.

    All works, satisfied the requirements, take part in exhibition. Winners will get valuable prizes and diplomas; the best projects will be published in Domus magazine.

    The capital prize of the contest is seven-day education in Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design(program: Conceptual Drawing for Architects and Designers) in London.

    Please, be carefully to contest requirements and terms! Remember that registration is open till October, 25 (2010). We are waiting for your projects till November, 1 (2010). If you use delivery company, please be sure that we’ll receive the project at the latest on the 1st of November (2010).

  4. conceptual design for adapting the building of the Assamble of Kosova

    NGO “HandiKOS” in collaboration with the Institute of Architecture and Arts “A Design” in Prishtina-Kosovo are organizing competition for architecture students of the universities abroad.
    All students who are interested to participate in this competition can receive the necessary materials for free, upon request submitted to the e-mail address
    The request should be sent until 07 October 2010.
    Three of the best designs will be awarded.
    First price will be 500 Euro, second 300 Euro and the third 200 Euro.
    The exhibition of the work of the students will be presented in ten capital cities of countries in the region. Despite these 10 cities the exhibition will be presented also in Brussel and Strasbourg.
    All projects will be complied and published in a book format edition.

    The deadline of submitting of the projects is until 15 OCTOBER 2010.
