It is the object of the competition to obtain a design concept for the modular open space system of the Aspern Lakeside Park, to be composed of a Central Park, West Park and East Park as well as a Lakeside Promenade for Aspern Vienna’s Urban Lakeside. The Lakeside Park is to cover a total area of approx. 9.7 hectares and will form the central element of the newly emerging city quarter aspern Urban Lakeside in the north-eastern part of Vienna. It is envisaged to implement the landscape design project in two construction stages until 2020. The amount of Euro 5 million has been set aside as net production costs for the first construction stage.
