POCKET LUCK – Ninth International Design Contest Trieste Contemporanea

Theme of the contest

In a global context of crisis characterized by economic instability and by the inefficiency or inadequacy of the political world to resolve the major social issues, in which the lack of attention to the value of the individual and the environment emerges, the following is requested: the design of a pocket lucky charm/talisman to carry in all situations that require a vibration of “positivity”, of altruistic courage, of critical spirit, of creativity and of necessary irony.

About the contest

Participation in the competition is free of charge.
The competition is open to designers coming from the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.
The competitor must apply utilizing the online form on this website. It will be sufficient to fill out the online application form in its entirety and attach the project according to the specifications.
The application form and the attached project must be presented by midnight on August 31, 2010 (Italian time).
The international jury, presided by Gillo Dorfles, will convene in the month of September, 2010 and will evaluate the projects in competition.
The prizes are the following:
BEBA PRIZE for the youngest designer among those selected: Euro 1000,00.
C.E.I. PRIZE for the best designer from one of the C.E.I. countries not part of the European Union: Euro 3000,00.
GILLO DORFLES PRIZE – TRIESTE CONTEMPORANEA DESIGN 2010 for the best project: Euro 4000,00.
